This is an extremely popular combined deactivation and reactivation unit due to its simple mode of operation and integration with the majority of library management systems. With the deactivation/reactivation unit fitted beneath the mouth of the barcode reader the user can scan a barcode and deactivate or reactivate the EM strip in one simple motion.
Used in combination with PSP’s unique Fully Integrated Customisable Labels or 10x63 labels the scanner mounted unit provides a very efficient and cost effective means of working with protected stock. Integration with the library management system also ensures only items which have been correctly processed are deactivated or reactivated.
Using Plescon’s enhanced electronics the deactivation/reactivation unit ensures consistent and reliable performance. It is also possible for PSP to configure existing scanners to house the deactivation/reactivation unit, providing a further saving for our customers.
